THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engine Builder to strengthen our busy Engine Shop Department. Responsible for the build and maintenance of a variety of high-performance powertrain units, the Senior Engine Builder will provide skills across a wide range of competition prestigious motorsport programmes.
The role responsibilities include:

Preparation, build, maintenance and rebuild of current performance engines.

Pre-production of key engine components.

Record and maintain all build data and keep records up to date.

Event support may be required across various motorsport programmes in the UK and globally.

Mentoring less experienced Engine Builders to ensure quality of work is maintained.

Develop ideas which will increase engine performance and reliability.

Maintain a professional and clean appearance of all engines and equipment in both the department and for events. Whilst ensuring others are doing the same.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
You should be educated to technician level and have a thorough understanding of engine systems and mechanics.
You should have at least 3 years’ experience as an Senior Engine Builder/Engine Technician in the motorsport/automotive industry, or an Engine Builder/Engine Technician looking to progress into a Senior role.
You should pride yourself on your attention to detail and be capable of delivering a high standard of performance and quality whilst working to strict deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.
You should have excellent communication skills, and the role would suit an individual with a keen eye for problem solving and implementing solutions.
