The Ford Fiesta R2 was M-Sport’s first global rally car and has secured class victories and championship laurels in 34 different countries since being launched in 2010.

As one of the most reliable and competitive R2s on the market, the Fiesta R2 continues to gain success and notoriety around the globe – claiming its first outright victory as part of an FIA Championship at the 2015 Rally Panama.

Encompassing a sequential gearbox, fully adjustable suspension and an engine that sounds as good as it goes, the Fiesta R2 is a firm favourite with aspiring rally drivers the world over.

In 2015, M-Sport launched the new evolution Ford Fiesta R2. The transmission, brake and suspension systems have all been heavily revised, but it is the engine which provides the most significant and innovative redesign with a 1.0 litre Ecoboost engine.

Working closely with the Ford Motor Company, M-Sport’s engineers have harnessed the power and performance of Ford’s Ecoboost technology to produce the first vehicle to be homologated under new FIA regulations adopted at the beginning of 2015 to allow 1.0 litre cars to compete in the R2 rally class.

Based on the 1.0 litre Ecoboost engine – a triple winner of the prestigious International Engine of the year award – M-Sport has drawn strength from Ford’s engineering expertise and yielded considerable success on the international stage.
