“The pace is pretty hot out there and everyone is for sure pushing to the maximum now. We went a bit too soft with the set-up on the first stage this morning and the car was sliding around quite a lot. But still we set some good times, and the fight is getting really interesting. Let’s get everything right this afternoon and see where we are at the end of the day.”

Sébastien Ogier (6th) said:

“We’ve been really unlucky this morning. We picked up a slow puncture on the first stage and then another just one kilometre into the second one. Towards the end of that same stage we also hit the rear of the car. After that it was just a case of managing the rest of the loop, but that is how it goes sometimes. Sometimes the elements aren’t with you and you just have to keep fighting!”

Elfyn Evans (11th) said:

“It’s been a lot easier today for sure and the conditions have come to us a little bit. It’s drying up, but there are still some tricky sections out there to spring a surprise every now and then. The last stage was a lot muddier than the previous ones and we lost some time in there.”
