“It’s been a good day for us and I’m quite happy to be in third place – just 0.1 seconds away from second. For a comeback, and from our position on the road, it’s not so bad at all. Tomorrow we will continue to push and see where we are at the end of the day.”

Nil Solans (6th WRC 2) said:

“Sometimes drivers make mistakes and sometimes co-drivers make mistakes – it’s just a part of the game. Our speed was really good. We were driving fast without taking any risks and, if you remove the penalty, we would only be 6.5 seconds off the lead. There are still a lot of kilometres tomorrow, and of course we will push hard and try to get back in a good position.”

Gus Greensmith (16th WRC 2) said:

“The car felt really good after Shakedown so the confidence was there. We wanted to make a few tweaks this morning, but we were still only 10 seconds off the lead which was really, really good. But unfortunately this afternoon we had a broken driveshaft and that has put us out of the running. The speed was good, and now we just need to focus on building that up again.”
